This is a custom gameconfig tailored specifically for the Enhanced version of GTA 5 - works with all builds of the game including the current latest version 1.0.1013.29 (Does not work on Legacy, obviously)
- Each value is documented and commented for easier contribution and providing feature updates
- Expanded pools to allow for car, building and sound mods to be easily installed
- Increased a lot of other pools for new additions such as texture and model mods to actually work, granted that they fall in line with the BVH calculation limits
- Weapon additions can also work fine now with their memory pools increased
- Increased pools to allow for more addon-peds
- Increased pools to allow for more MLOs and custom interiors
- And much more…
NOTE: GTA 5 Enhanced modding is still not as well documented and developed as GTA 5 Legacy, therefore there are still certain limitations that cannot be changed, even with a gameconfig. Including problems like the limit of how many vertices for dynamic objects can be calculated by the BVH code for RT. This basically means vehicle, vegetation or map mods that have too many vertices can and will break the game, either by crashing or visual glitches like missing/flickering shadows.
PERMISSIONS: Feel free to use this gameconfig in your mods, servers and projects but DO NOT remove any credits. Thank you.

Sorry about the delay guys, version 3.0 of the gameconfig has been uploaded with support for game version 1.0.1013.29
If you're still on game version 889.15 or 889.22 please use version 2.0 of the gameconfig.
@writtninblood With each update Rockstar does increase some limits themselves, pools such as fwDynamicArchetypeComponent which we cannot safely increase without risk of crashes, so technically each update kinda helps making the game more stable with mods too. You can try increasing the MapDataStore pool to something x2 or x4 the original value, might help with your ymap issue.
Thank you I'll try that.
Holy Shit lol. That fixed it. I went 4x. Vremastered, LWE Forest/Mountains-High, NBVE and my own custom maps all running and it didnt crash out. Drove around the whole map twice. Thank you so much!
@writtninblood That's good to know! I'll also include this fix in the next update for the gameconfig so it works out of the box.
Awesome! I was losing my mind lol. Thanks again
The best Gameconfig at the Moment! Absolut awesome! Thx a lot !
Works Great with NVe/LWe/rca And 195addon Cars!
:)
bruh this gameconfig is consuming too much vram i literally need to put my texture to normal so my video memory doesn't turn red
update 18 Mar 2026
This was the only gameconfig working. Please update.
Still works like a charm! with NVE / LWE / ChromatiX/ FOSA / Remastered/ NBVisual ,... and 333AddonCars,... ENHANCED Version! I
I hope he and his family are okay... I'm praying for you, bro.
Gameconfig 3.0 causes a graphical bug, in one of the city races (a second one appears), in one place, textures disappear (more like a veil with no lighting and shadows), in the main menu, the game map and all the text on the menu navigation disappear.
I bet on two versions of games: 1013.20 and 1013.33
Hoping for an update soon :(
Is the gameconfig still working for you guys?
@LennyH Nah, I've tried using it (I think), I've downloaded so many gameconfigs from different mod authors but none of them worked so far. Though I have heard it is risky running two large mods--Natural Vision Enhanced and Beta Map Restoration on the Enhanced version of GTA V (which is what I'm playing currently.)
Update: Okay so the gameconfig didn't crash my game! I'll try downloading NVE and Beta Map Restoration soon but I doubt it'll work
@LennyH Update (2): Nah, it doesn't work with NVE, unfortunatley.
Why this gc consume lot of vram😭😭 im crying
@LennyH YES! i use a testrig with about 450 addon cars, with LWE (medium),and a self-mixed mixture of NVE/Quant/NBVisual and ChromatiX and 3 huge Mapaddons, works hours without a single crash! However, I also have my own scripts where the map only loads when I am nearby.
Of course, you should also properly configure DecalPatch and the other components in their respective INI files—then everything runs superbly! As soon as I add more than 460 cars, I do get the occasional crashs... but this is just a test rig. ..where I also kick out some cars, add new ones, and test them.
I find that with a maximum of 250 add-on cars, you can truly play for several hours on end without experiencing a single crash. For me, this remains the best and most stable GameConfig out there!A few friends of mine who have the exact same mod setup can confirm this, too... only one guy swears by the ones from 7Yo—but he has fewer cars installed and way more MLOs. Lol.
@TeamHimes I don’t know how you manage not to crash with so many mods, I put NVE and LWE high and I crash after 10 minutes with this gameconfig, whereas the NVE gameconfig doesn’t have any issues except for a few buildings that disappear and reappear.
@Exoruss I primarily use NVE—specifically its textures, vegetation, quants ReShade presets, and timecycle settings—along with Chromatix for reflections. I also incorporate some elements from NBVisual and additional vegetation mods from LWE. I actually experienced a lot of crashes at the beginning until I managed to combine everything correctly. I’ve been doing this for quite a while now, and I also have a few friends who are very knowledgeable about this stuff. You also have to tweak quite a few things within the .ini files—specifically for the heap adjuster, decals, and similar settings. ;) It’s actually all quite easy once you get the hang of it. For instance, using the standard NVE gameconfig causes texture bugs for me, and the game crashes when I try to spawn more than a certain number of add-on cars. If you compare the various gameconfigs using a tool like ChatGPT or Claude, you’ll see that—for a setup like mine—this particular gameconfig is the best option, followed closely by Fyos. Back in the "Legacy" era, I exclusively used the config created by Adnr; at the time, it was by far the best one available. Unfortunately, however, a lot has changed since the release of the "Enhanced" version. Everyone has their own unique mod setup, so finding the *perfect* gameconfig isn't always easy. That said, you can also manually adjust and test various settings within the gameconfig yourself (though you do so at your own risk). Honestly, in the age of AI, the whole process has become incredibly simple. ;)
