@skinner_studio Why not change it in the carcols.ymt?
that would be the only proper way imo, that way you would have actual blue lights.

Btw, I can help you with carcols, I have some experience in this sort of modding.

About skins. To make your custom skin you'll have to pemap a whole vehicle model to support skins, beacuse default models have only small mapped (so, customizable via paint.net) areas - it's the roof (numbers) and small rectangles on sides and rear bumper (text and stickers). There are a lot of remapped models in RDE mod, you can make skins for them and replace your default cars.

@skinner_studio you download or make a template for a vehicle (usually it is included with mod), open it in any image editor (P.NET, Photoshop, GIMP, etc.), set it as background layer, then, on other layers, draw your skin (markings, text, logos, etc.). Then you save it as .png or .dds image and replace default one in vehicle's .ytd file.

Absolutely useless, it changes textures but after replacing carcols, I still get red and blue
