This mod allows you to 'replace' the character vehicles.
How it works:
Whenever the script detects either Micheal's Tailgator, Franklin's Buffalo or Trevor's Bodhi, it is removed and your saved vehicle is spawned in it's place.
Usage:
Press Numpad0 to set the saved vehicle, the vehicle is only saved to the player you are currently using.
You can also press Numpad5 to toggle the mod on and off for cases such as missions where the default car is required.
Requirements:
Script Hook V http://gtaforums.com/topic/788343-vrel-script-hook-v/

Sorry for the lack of updates guys, got myself a job so have been pretty busy lately. Catching up with everything it looks like ScriptHookVDotNet has been updated a fair bit so I'll have a look and see what I can implement. I've added livery support in for the next version already. But having a look at the Turbo I can't see anything wrong, so again logs would be very handy. I'll try working my way through the current bug list but if anyone has anymore more please let me know!
The mod teleports me back to my safe house when I'm in proximity to my default car. Sometimes it spawns me into blue hell when switching characters. It halfway works hehe.
The mod doesn't save my vehicles colour and livery. Whenever it spawns it's a random colour with no livery. The car I'm using is Elegy Retro Custom and I used Benny's is SP mod to modify it. Every modification I've done saves, except the colour and livery. Is there anything you can do about this?
Are you still helping out with this mod? The idea is great, is there a way to change keyboard settings? At moment it's conflicting with other mods @Driftall
Bit late but this method for replacing cars you do with gta iv? I can't get it too work with this mod @drew
This is a great mod in my opinion. However, I'm experiencing a few niggles. Either while I am driving my replacement character car, it suddenly disappears. The original number plate was black but when it appears the text is right, but the colour is white. Also, when I spawn my replacement character vehicle, only the unmodified car appears. I'd gladly give 5 out of five, if these could be sorted, please..
Okay so, unfortunately I can't meet up with friends with this mod on, because this mod replaces the personal vehicles and it won't let certain characters drive to the meet-up.
Michael, Franklin, and Trevor can't meet up with each other.
What do I write in order to set the + key on the numkeypads for saving a car?
Great mod, simple but essential.
Any chance of adding, for example, Franklin's Bagger to the mix?
@Driftall how it's possible to change for example from 0 to G
is there a way to change the hotkeys of the mod? it's having conflicts with my other mods :)
How do I delete a vehicle which was once saved?
when I install the map editor and RPV together, I stay in a bootloop. is this known?
2019 anyone? I got the mod working but when I save the game or basically restart the game. The saved car is gone, Including the default one. Now I dont have a default car -_-.
not working dude
Could you please update the mod? Please? @Driftall
this place is dead. GTA V mod creator in the past are moving on and will never update their mod. wish i could take over their work but nah. i can't do shit.
This works fine in-game for me, but as soon as I restart the game, it reverts back and I'm stuck with the original default vehicles? Is this meant to happen? Or do I have to keep saving the default cars every time the game starts?
could you make a version for bikes?
@aotomes You can change default cars with bikes. i did it with Michael and franklin.
@Driftall --- Thank you so much for this, i couldn't stand not being able to choose a default vehicle i bought! i love first person bikes on this game!
Very nice! but I have to address a bug. The license plate changes every time the car spawns, if you can fix it it would be great, no pressure. 10/10
