A lot of, frankly, insane life events have happened, as well as the Enhanced edition of GTA V being released, I need to come back and finish the V2 at some point.
The last year has been exceedingly difficult for me.
@pete_englishman I have just submitted for my biggest deadline, so heres hoping I can get some progress done on the version 2.
@pete_englishman Thank you, I have (once again) pushed back version 2 as I've had an incredibly busy year with university (I'm in my final year).
It will be a miracle at this point if I get it done before GTA 6 (queue meme here).
@MadAlexx about 2 months late but basically you just hit the key and then you ragdoll - its that simple.
@terrancetj The Default Key is Add (+), which can be rebinded in the provided .ini file with the mod.
So much for releasing V2 soon. I have had to basically rewrite the mod from scratch to create a fully customizable and not-jank system.
However, as a bit of a sneak peak, the features of the original V2, which I can easily replicate once I get the architecture sorted, were:
- Holding wound (limb that was shot)
- Aiming pistol at either closest target or shooter
- Keeping balance
- A few other things
If anyone knows how to stop the character from un-equipping two-handed weapons (basically all weapons that are not a pistol), PLEASE let me know - if its possible. I have not currently found a way to allow the Player to keep hold of two handed weapons, even though there is a bug in the base ragdoll behaviour that can allow the player to keep the gun equipped.
For which, if you switch to a two handed weapon from a one handed and ragdoll during the equip animation, you can keep the gun out.
@danksg I think this might be to do with the latest GTA V update. Apparently it broke SHVDN 3.6.0.
I need to update the post to say it requires the Nightly Builds.

@SnakeVenom33939 Can confirm, my mod works on SHVDN Nightly Builds.
@SnakeVenom33939 I'll check shortly, however as it is, I built SHVDN from source myself for my modding purposes, it should actually work.
The one thing I've learned about GTA V is how hacky the internal code is. Reloading appears to be tied to the command and the game *seems* to 'simulate' pressing Reload once your gun runs out of ammo. I could be wrong on this but this does seem to be the case from a small amount of research I've done. The same is probably true for 'free' aiming the gun in a Euphoria state.
