Welcome to my Handling Modification:
Heartbeat Physics.
Version 2.4
- The tyres grip much better now. You can drive faster without losing control of the vehicle so fast. The last version was a bit immersion breaking, because it felt to slippery. It makes a lot more fun now to drive fast while changing the gears and to slow down just before the next curve and hit the gas again. Driving is much more immersive with this handling. You need still some skills, but the reaction of all vehicles is more precise.
- Decreased the Suspension Force of most of the Sports and Supercars. I think it was a bit to much.
- Vehicles added from the Casino Update.
- Other minor changes and optimisations
Version 2.3
- Changes made on the following Carsections: Classic Sport, Sport and Supercars
- Brakes improved
- Suspension optimisations
- other minor changes on some cars
Version 2.2
- Vehicles from Patch 1.0.1604.0 added and modified.
- Removed the Advanced Flags from all DLC Vehicles.
- Increased the mass value for the Arena Vehicles
- Reduced the Damagemult for the Engine, Weapon, Collision and Deformation.
(Only the highly modified Arena vehicles like the Bruiser and Cerberus are affected)
Version 2.1
5 different Deformation Options added.
1. No Deformation
2. Default
3. Heavy
4. Extreme
5. Scrap Press
Version 2.0
The new Traction for all vehicles is much better now. You can drive much faster and control the Vehicle in case it oversteers or you loose a bit of traction. With this handling you are able to compensate any mistake more easy.
Ive improved the Brakes also and reworked the Topspeed and Acceleration for all the different Vehicle Sections to more realistic ones.
Supercars are really fast! They reach between 300-450 km/h.
Sportcars are a bit slower. Between 250-350 km/h.
Sedans should not be faster than 250 km/h.
And compacts or old classic cars even slower.
This handling will give you the feeling to have a real street under your ass. You can smell the tires and feel the vibrations of the car, no matter if you drive slow or fast. It makes even fun to drive with the slowest and most ugly cars now.:) Well, thats at least my personal expirience. I hope you like it too. It is still a work in progress.
To make a good handling it is really very time consuming and there is a lot more to learn about all the different settings. You cant just change one value or setting, it will not work. You have first to learn how each setting have an specific effect on many others.
Its for example important for the Top Speed and Acceleration, to test and find well balanced numbers between the fInitialDragCoeff, Drive Force and MaxFlatLevel and even more. But they are the basics to change effectively the Top Speed and Acceleration, so you have to find a good balanced value for all three of them. The same with all the other stuff.
Ive tested it thousend of times again mainly with the Traction Settings and found a really good average value for all cars. Just install this handling and deactivate all cars via trainer and just try some of the different vehicles. You will hear the squealing tires if you reach a specific Speedlevel. It depends on other factors too, like the curve or if the cars oversteer fast. It does not matter if all the cars have the same traction, because there are many other settings making each vehicle unique. But a good average traction is important!
This Tracion will make the cars much more heavier and increase the immersion to simulate more a real vehicle. Ive changed the suspension for many vehicles too, but its still a bit in a experimental phase, for some cars more and others not. Try the Vapid Sadler for example.
You will have more the impression now to drive a heavy vehicle if you see how the suspension interacts with the ground and the whole car reactions if you accelerate in the curves etc., it makes a lot of fun now.
There are a couple of other things i want to understand better, to make this handling more realistic and fun.
All SUV and Offroad Cars are now 4WD and many Supersportcars too. A few new handlings added from old DLC ive forgot in the first version, i hope all cars are now implemented and modified. As ive said, its still WIP and should be more detailed in the next versions. Hope you like it. Enjoy.
Please tell me if something is wrong or should be better or if ive forgot to modify some vehicles. Trucks and Buses are modified too. Superbikes are still fast and easy to steer in the curves but not the Faggio, its slow as fuck now compared to previous versions:)

Whats a Username? does it have optional deformation?
@JlzZLeMaN No. But i will do it in one of the next versions. Something like "Default" "Heavy" "Extreme" and "No Deformation". Good Idea. Thanks.
how to install this?
@alkjsdbfkasjfdb Download and install OpenIV. Replace my Handling File with the original one here: mods\update\update.rpf\common\data
@Whats a Username? idk what is happening i have replaced this file just like u said but its not working so i asked you how to do this cuz i thought that i did this wrong
@alkjsdbfkasjfdb Please read the following on how to mod GTAV: https://forums.gta5-mods.com/topic/14693/quick-start-guide-to-modding-grand-theft-auto-v/2
i did all like it was in guide
@alkjsdbfkasjfdb There is nothing i can do, sorry. It should work perfectly. I hope you find a solution. If you have all the requirements needed and you know how to mod the Game it should work. Good luck.
would you be able to make one where it doesn't make the brakes worse, I love everything else its just I find myself smashing into everything and I wanna be able to brake, if you could do that it would be amazing
@Onecheezyboi88 You have to go to a driving school then.:D I don´t like unrealistic brakes wich stops your vehicle in one second. You have to learn to brake earlier and drive much more careful and antizipate the others vehicles reaction. But i´ll think about it. Maybe like the Deformation Options just with different braking levels.:)
@Whats a Username? Hello do you know how to make car making burnout even od 2nd gear (when high toruqe)? Which paramerers to change?
So right now this is probably my favorite total-overhaul from handling, however i have one minor complaint; The brakes for the Classic Super cars (i.e. Infernus Classic, Cheetah classic etc) Sports Cars, and especially Super cars need to be tuned a little stronger, IMO.
I get that you are trying to mimic real world brake-response at 150 +MPH, but even at 80-100MPH i am not able to do my normal "slow-in-fast-out" on easy turns. That could be my own lack of skill and adaptation to the mods changes, but i feel like the braking values are too soft. In the real world Super Cars such as the Chiron or P1 have the ability to go from 125- 200 MPH to 0 in under 500-600 feet, however with this mod i feel like the brakes are too soft even when staying under 120. I understand it would take a lot of time and effort with testing and value-tweaking to make each car match it's real world inspiration, so don't take this criticism too harshly; i am very happy with this mod.
@Thelotuseater725 Thanks for this constructive critizism and your advise. I´ll take a look into it. The brakes are very imporant, but also the reaction of the cars in the curves. You are 100% right. The problem is to find the optimal values for the brakes for each car in relation all the other modified values like traction and suspension settings. But i will try to find a better average value for each car section. Supercars should have stronger brakes while others not. And i have always to check the other settings to make the handling not worse in general and that´s not easy.:) Glad you like it.
@Thelotuseater725 I have tested the stopping distance with the nero(chiron) again. The Nero needs with my handling approximately 80-90m(295 feet) to stop from 200-0 km/h which is even less than the real counterpart(125 m or 410 feet).:)
@Whats a Username? Well damn son, you definitely nailed it then. It is definitely me having to adapt my technique and muscle memory to the tweaks. i was playing on PS4 for a LONG time, before coming back to PC, and got used to the stock configs and max-speed of 120-136. The vanilla brake config is definitely overkill even at 80-120 MPH. Thank you for going through the hassle of testing, it tells me i'll have to be more thorough on my end when testing things.
@Whats a Username? Hi! Are you going to do an update of your mod and share it with us? Thanks in advance.
installation?
I m sorry , but this handlings are bad. For me , you don't know how physics of the cars are working.
@cxega Just drag&drop the handling.meta into "\mods\update\update.rpf\common\data" with Open IV.
@Aperis So tell me how make it better. What is bad? Your post is not constructive or helpful and it looks more like your Intention is to make my handling mod bad. I like what i did and have a lot of fun and therefore sharing it with others. If you don´t like it, just move on.
@Whats a Username? Sure you have fun doin it , Read my post again! I said they are bad for me! For you maybe it's the perfect setup. By the way i will suggest you to play also other racing games and try to understand the diffrence. I ve spawned 3 cars. Jester, Jester3 and Adder. All of them was starting like you are drifting. Powersliding as well when tuned.
Adder replicates a buggati veyron let's say maybe? AWD, with a traction control better than GTR R35. guess what. Traction controll is limitless.
