Cinematic Explosion FX 1.12a

More cinematic explosion visuals, still working on the physics and explosion animation timing. It's a little too fast but I'm trying to find out where the particle effect timing is. Hopefully I will find it in a few days.
Use OpenIV and navigate to update/update.rpf from there navigate to common/data/effects and replace the original explosionfx file with this one.
Make sure you backup this file or the update.rpf file first.
Version 1.05
Found another file that controls how the explosions are called: vehicles.meta. The explosionfx file has not changed so if you already have it the only thing you need to do to install this is use OpenIV then access the update.rpf and navigate to common/data/levels and replace the vehicles.meta file with the one included.
The explosions are huge at the moment, going to reduce some of them maybe leave the others really big. Still trying to find the file that controls the particles.
Version 1.07:
Tweaked the airliner explosions, made them massive, the cargo plane however seems to be exempt from the changes, not sure why. Police helicopter and blimp explosions are also bigger. I need to reduce the motorcycle explosions, they're the size of a car explosion which can be funny, but I will shrink them to something a little more conducive to a smaller vehicle within an action movie. Also still trying to figure out how to control explosive damage radius. In GTA IV it was contained in this file but now it doesn't seem to be. More later.
Version 1.10
* explosion YMT file found and modified
* explosions are more powerful, some too powerful... still tweaking.
Still haven't found or figured out how to change the explosion timings. I would add another youtube movie but I'm using offline version and it won't let me export youtube videos. I will have to install FRAPS or something.
Installation for ymt file:
OpenIV: Access the update.rpf file then navigate to x64/data/metadata/ and replace the original explosion.ymt file.
Version 1.11:
I've made a few changes within the explosion.ymt file and reduced the intensity on all but two explosions, The plane explosion is the same and I increased the damage and force factor of the gas pump/petrol pump as well as the radius. The explosion is so intense that if you're in the tank and within 15 meters of the pump it will throw the tank like a toy. It will also cause any other vehicles within that range to explode and/or fly. I still need to reduce the force on the rest of the explosions a tad.
Installation is the same as 1.1
Version 1.12:
- Force factor on vehicle explosions has been tuned down a little, the visuals remain unchanged.
- Force factor for plane rockets has been upgraded both in force and radius, although I think I need to increase the speed the concussive wave travels.
Installation same as 1.1

@FaZeCoco Yeah, I'm still looking for that control, I'm fairly certain it's in the particle effects files which are still encrypted. Hopefully the guys at OpenIV will figure that out eventually or someone with an XBOX will post more of the files that we need. And thanks for the rating. XD
@Darksteps Ohhh ok
So awesome man, good job!
thanks, gonna beef up the explosion visuals to match the new radius.
I really like your mod, trust me on this one. But the airplanes and helicopter explosions are HUGE, make it smaller. Your previous version (I don't remember which one) had better explosions.
wow, i love it, it's showing in rockstar editor ? and if can add more big explode It would be wonderful
I think what I'm going to do is what most modders do and create two types of the mod, an extreme version for players like me who want things over the top and another version for explosions bigger than R*s explosions but not the size most are now. I will work on this over the next week. Thanks for the comments. XD
@Darksteps thanks, i'll wait this, i'm really need it to record one video and edit in rockstar editor :D
@Darksteps any news ? :D
@AitGamers Not yet, that last DLC has screwed something up. Every time I try to load the game it crashes. Still tinkering with it.
@Darksteps oh, good luck (y) i waiting you
if you use mods folder, after update gta5 game has crash, delete folder 'update' from mods folder and try again, or disable OpenIV.ASI from open openiv => tools => asi manager => uninstall openiv.asi
and don't forget update scripthook v and scripthook dot net
@Darksteps long wait :( you not update it yet
@Darksteps
Dude can you change the explosion texture please? Its located on update.rpf>x64>patch>data>effects>core.ypt
Here is the tool,It can actually read YPT files (Particles effects) but you can't edit the model yet.You can actually edit the texture though.
http://gtaforums.com/topic/795186-wipv-texture-toolkit/
Im not good at changing texture so can you do it?
I'll look into it, thanks for the tool tip. :D
It was added to the backup file corruption :(
I have abandoned this mod as well as GTA V, if anyone wants to take over, please do.
No x64 but x64a :)
@Darksteps Skype Pls? caio.cesar.alves.junior
@Darksteps i am trying to make new exposionfx.dat enteries for my custom/new weapons. do you know what file, controls the naming of tags?
cool mod bud
