another thing the mod needs is that once it resets it shows the latest "score" on the screen for about 8 seconds or 10. so you can have a look before it disappears.
i tried putting the CS in the scripts folder with the D:: but the changes i made to the CS file didnt apply. it was 15 seconds counter. then i removed the DLL but then the mod didnt work with just the CS file in the scripts folder. then i tried putting the CS only in the addin folder - mod didnt work at all again. so im lost. :)
You should make some sort of killstreak reward, like for example if you get a killstreak of 10, you get $1,000, or maybe full special ability, full armour, and/or full health.
Maybe a configurable .ini file where you can set what and how much you get, and when you get the rewards, like how high killstreak you need.
That would be awesome.
@PapiDimmi awesome
@topeira awesome
@PapiDimmi awseome!
but seriously - it's a good idea. there is more potential to the mod than the author imagined, i think :) it can get as far as having an alternative mode for the mod that strips you of weapons and every so many kills you get better weapons, full health, armor, money, cars, bodyguards etc.
But first it seeds a "reset on death" function and i need to know what do i do with a CS file =P
Awesome suggestions everyone!
I like the idea of an alternate ticker for total kills reset on player death. I'll probably work this in.
I have thought about killstreak rewards and how that would work, look, and act in my mod. In general I don't like my mods to be too intrusive on the core gameplay, but I think some light, configurable bonuses would be a lot of fun!
I have some ideas for a version 2 and I'll be releasing this weekend.
this is great combination with riot mod :)
spearminty, what do i do with a CS file? if i make changes to it, how can i integrate these changes into the mod? (mostly i want reset-upon-death and much much longer timer. as VROZT said - this mod works great with riot mod. to see how many i can kill before i die :)
there are tons of stuff you can do with this mod to work with other mods. riot mod is the best example because, i think, it's the only mod that actively creates resistance and ppl to kill.
So a mod like this, if taken far in its idea, can make it so you earn points with every kill of an armed ped, lose points when killing police or innocents, every certain amount of kills it spawns a medkit and armor on the map not too far from the player, every time you pick up the health and armor you gain MORE points, every certain amount of kills it spawn special enemies to come and fight you, etc etc etc.
But, as i said, this is by taking this mod far =P
@topeira awseome!

I have figured out how to change the .cs file but how do I compile the .dll file
hi guys! I'm still here. I'm working on some configurable timer values, killstreak perks, and no range on the counter.
@spearminty thanks good job
@spearminty This is awesome! Just yesterday i was thinking about creating a mod like that but i had no clue where to start. I am only playing single player and this mod could really add some additional depth! Maybe even combo counters etc.. but ithers already suggested all the important stuff so i look forward to your next release! Thanks a lot!
any update ? this mod doesn't work with latest Script Hook V Dot Net
@vrozt I've got an update to this in code I just need to do some testing. This release will include better rangefinding on deaths and the first phase of killstreak tiers. Killstreak timer and tier requirements will be in a config file.
check this one out: https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/kill-counter-rewards
I havent entirely abandoned this mod so there will be another update one day, but until then check out t0shki's :)
i like this in conjunction with the kill rewards, but it doesn't seem to work with v1 dotnet
