An .ASI plugin that eliminates GTA V's native wheel auto-centering behavior when exiting vehicles, with full support for both Legacy and Enhanced builds.
[ FEATURES ]
- Robust game version detection which decides version-specific patching.
- Properly prevents vehicle's tires from auto-centering.
- Preserves steering angle behavior more realistically.
- Optional startup notification (Configurable via ini)
- Optional logging (Configurable via ini)

[ INSTALLATION ]
- Install latest ScriptHookV
- Place ProperSteeringFix.asi & ProperSteeringFix.ini into your GTA V folder
- Enjoy

Patch v1.0.1
- Renamed entire script to "ProperSteeringFix" rather than just "SteeringFix"
- Adjusted enhanced patterns for better stability
- Fixed the .ini option where setting 'EnableLog=0' doesn't actually disable logging

awesome, been waiting for a new version for a while now, will test ASAP if it works on my way old 2189.0. I'm still using MrmodsGerman version.
Could I please trouble you for an ini option to keep engine and lights on when exiting via long-press F key where short-press F exits with engine and lights off? 🙏🏻🤞🏻

It would be great to save wheel positions so that when the game is loaded, the player's vehicles have the wheels turned as they were remembered in the previous game session.
