Simple Camera for Advanced Filming & Photography
Elevate your Grand Theft Auto V photography and cinematography with the Simple Camera script. Built specifically for content creators, machinima directors, and virtual photographers, this plugin offers unparalleled control over your camera and the world state.
Source code now available
Supports GTA 5 Legacy & FiveM and GTA 5 Enhanced.
This mod provides a comprehensive cinematic toolkit for advanced camera control and world manipulation. It features a seamless 6-axis free camera with both Euler and Quaternion rotation modes, alongside a physics based drone mode that simulates FPV flight with configurable acceleration, drag, and gravity. Users can benefit from intelligent camera collisions, dynamic entity tracking with visual markers, and a rigid mounting system that inherits the movement of peds or vehicles.
The suite includes various lens settings, such as dynamic FOV adjustment and manual ingame depth of field controls with autofocus. To ensure a clean workspace, the interface automatically toggles HUD and player visibility. Beyond the camera itself, the mod offers total control over the environment through time freezing, weather blending, and timelapse modes. It is also fully integrated with IGCS tools, allowing for advanced depth of field rendering for high-end virtual photography.
How to Use
Press F5 (default) to open the configuration menu.
Fully navigable via Keyboard or Controller, open README.txt to reveal full script controls and instructions.

hey man this is absolutely amazing mod that we as a youtubers need to make videos... but it's a request can you let the player visible do not hide when we activate the camera, seems like you already made an option of it but it doesn't work it keep player hide ... 10/10
I couldn't get the older version of this mod to work. I'm gonna give version 1.2 a try and hope for the best. 🤞🤞
@Pinkjughead01 i think you may want to fix your game, since everyone else having no troubles running the mod
Epic! Thanks for keeping up with these type of projects!
@safari4831 Most likely I have a conflicting mod.
@safari4831 Thanks
I kinda wonder if you could add a dedicated menu to placing lights or something, it would be really nice to be able to ditch all the light prop mods and have a single menu where you can place lights, customize their colour, intensity, enable volumetric light, toggling shadows etc, it's something we really need in GTA 5
I'd also like to suggest the ability to save custom presets for these lights
@HeySlickThatsMe something lika stage lights from scene director? If so, i'd like to know if we have vanilla props for this instead of adding a new ones like scenedirector does
@safari4831 Well, you would probably have to do some memory hacking to add all customization options, at least that's how I thought it could be implemented
There is a native to change light colour for prop but it's not enough, because it would be nice to have full control over the intensity, fall off, light flags etc
Though there's also a few natives to draw lights like spotlights and such and these natives contain quite a bunch of settings already
I've needed this!!!!!
@safari4831 The mod's great, but the controls need updating. The arrow keys all control the FOV, the menu options and the player's phone controls. There's nothing stopping the phone controls and the FOV from triggering when the Simple Camera options are on.
@safari4831 Also, the camera speed and sensitivity resets for some reason when I get out of the camera menu
@ModernPlebeian314 use numpad for menu controls, arrows are not what you should use
@safari4831 still, phone controls should be locked, no?
@ModernPlebeian314 it was already fixed in the latest version
Thanks for making all your projects open source. I really would donate you something if I could.
Amazing work. Really solid mod! I noticed though that if I record a footage of my player auto-driving a car, & have my player set to 'visible', when I watch the footage back in Rockstar Editor, my character looks like all glitched out & mangled. Any solution for this?
Can you make it so when the Camera menu is open, your phone is disabled? Because every time I try to go up in the menu it opens my phone in-game
Best tool I have used, EVE is basically obsolete IMO. My only suggestion is to please make it to where when the menu is open, other things do not open up like your phone. Selecting right also seems to turn your car lights on and off which can also be distracting.
@safari4831 Okay I saw you fixed the phone issue, but as far as numpad, I use an asus g14 so I dont have a numpad. Navigating the menu definitely creates an issue for station motion shots because I would like to lock the camera for a position but the zoom is always changing when going up and down. That's pretty much my core issue right now.
