@Fanatic for GTA You have a very strange idea about game engines, I can stuff about 800,000 polygons into the Source Engine, gta v can easily digest more than 1 million polygons per model.

@MARK2580 Actually no! Many modders from here who create peds have mentioned several times that 3D model above 60K polygons could easily crash the game, although RAGE manages to deal well with these technical restrictions (don't expect anything technologically mindblowing from a game released in 2013), as long as you have a PC with a good CPU, RAM and mainly video card to be able to handle heavy 3D models, or simply make them 'smoother' using mesh optimization tools in 3DS Max, that's what I did when I started to learn about 3D modeling and ped modding watching YT videos.

@MARK2580 I didn't know that the GTA 5 game engine could handle up to 1 million of polygons! If GTA 5 doesn't crash before, then your PC must be good as a hell lol.

Do not confuse the 2013 game, which worked on xbox and PS3, and the game that was released on PC in 2015, with more grass, animals, puddles in the rain and higher-quality textures (partially).

I can't say for sure that there can be a million polygons in a character, but I found some kind of mod with leggings, the model of which could not be opened by any program, such as OpenIV or CodeWalker, they just crashed with an error, there were more than 200K polygons. In the houses themselves and, most importantly, cars, there can really be such a huge number of polygons.

I don't have the strongest computer. Now I have Ryzen 5 3600 / 32 RAM / rtx 3060. But I could turn on the maximum settings even when I had an i5-7600K / 16 ram / gtx 1060
