This GTA V mod emulates the "traffic checking" feature from the Burnout series, allowing you to hit and damage traffic easily and use NPC vehicles as projectiles when hit from behind.
Requires Script Hook V and ScriptHook V .NET.
Included is a modified handling.meta file from Better Advanced Meta by darkmyre that has been patched with the Wrecker Cars Patcher by Hanabishi.
To install, place TrafficChecking.dll and TrafficChecking.ini in the scripts folder.
I also recommend replacing handling.meta in mods\update\update.rpf\common\data. (Unless you have a separate handling file you prefer to use.)
Certain properties can be altered in the .ini file. A short description of each option is included as well.
Feedback is very welcome! I hope you enjoy it.

@littlefilms Thanks! I absolutely love that mod, and I use it as well :D
@zzcool You should be able to brush up against cars to thrust them forward in my mod.
@Unsearchably Thank you!
@hossam_mekki Thanks! I did try to disable the exploding cars but I was unable to figure it out :( I would actually prefer it that way, and if anyone has any ideas on how to do that I would definitely try to make it an option.
Yes, that's very funny.
We are road killer!
*Memories of Burnout Revenge floods in*
That aside, to be more closer to BR Traffic Checking you should be able to smash through traffic without losing speed at all. Maybe increasing the weight of super cars will help.
Awesome! Reminds me of one of my old scripts, vehicle booster! Job well done!
Great work buddy !
Delirium.Loses all meaning,interest in the game.In addition, the function of strengthening the impact force is in the coach.And why do we need these explosions?
@Adolf95 I'm looking at alternate methods of keeping the speed constant as I want to avoid relying on vehicle mass changes for the mod to work if possible (just to keep things working with the vanilla handling)
@stillhere Funny you say that, your script actually inspired me to develop this! I also used your idea for locking the vehicle's rotation during impact, I hope that's okay!
@GEL060 Thank you!
@aleksey73 I apologize, but I really do not understand what you're trying to say. I am working on removing the explosions though.
@d3ad connection I don't mind at all! If you could add an option for a "wreck camera" like in burnout that would be cool, if you're up for the challenge 👍
This is fucking awesome 😍
Looks interesting, I will try when ScripthookV stuff is updated. For reducing explosions, https://tr.gta5-mods.com/scripts/nooncrashexplosion this mod can be useful.
A few things that may need improvements:
a) Make sure only you can check traffic. I got hit by a cop from the back and next thing I know I flew all the way to the Airport.
b) Disable wanted level when checking traffic. While it is amusing to destroy roadblocks and incoming police by checking traffic towards them I think we should be able to check traffic in peace.
c) Optional: Earn money when you check traffic.

Its like agro from midnight club 3 if anybody has played that game
Great fun. Would be nice to be able to toggle it in-game though.
Now we need extreme vehicle damage...
Collision damage could be increased and lower engine damage, i think that is what causes cars to blow up in gta
good idea but we have mod menus and u can select the mass thing and its gonna do the same thing but good i dea still sry if english sucks im tired and finnish :D
idea*
please help I cant seem to get mod working I download it put the dll and ini also the handling meta in my scripts folder that I made then I proceed to launch game find car and no boom bam the mod isn't working I know im doing something wrong please help if u can.
Insane and hilarious results, a little chaotic when used with nitro enabled on simple trainer though, idk if it was the handling.meta included or the mod though. I'd like just a touch less insane push though if it is from the mod files.
